Appropriately
addressing the medical needs of individuals with mental
retardation and developmental disabilities has long been a
challenging problem faced by parents, family members and
professional staff.
DDI designed and developed
Opti-Healthcare a network of NYS Department of Health
licensed diagnostic and treatment centers. At Opti,
comprehensive, integrated medical and dental care is
provided for children and adults.
Each individual's care
is under the supervision of a primary care physician who coordinates
their treatment, thereby eliminating the fragmented, uncoordinated
services many have received in the past.
Our
facilities and treatment areas are designed to accommodate
people with physical difficulties enabling us to provide medical
and dental care for the medically frail; as well as for people
with severe physical impairments. Language translation services
are available, and sign language interpreter services are
provided for persons with hearing difficulties. Services are
provided in aesthetic, peaceful surroundings where the emphasis
is always on treating all with dignity and respect.
Currently we have pediatrics,
adult medical care, specialty medical services and dental
services available.
